![]() their first response tends to be 1) a bit slow and 2) rather pedantic, like your post above. All again only the most recent.Īs to Maxon's help. I've the full RG Universe, a few other things. So it is puzzling to me why there's so much older Maxon on your rig. and my Maxon/RedGiant stuff is only the latest versions. Just help people get the work out the door under the situation that exists at any one moment. We're not here to praise or criticize any one or any company. We aren't staffers for anyone, and can't set any decisions by anyone either Adobe or any other entity. Which is all most of us around here care about. I hope this proves helpful to anyone who needs it because in the last several years of users asking these questions no one seems to have given a clear answer. As a practical note, most of your last post is either gibberish or irrelevant to getting this functioning on your machine. It could cause render issues and crashes. as this might cause issues with the functionality of After Effects itself. However I would NOT recommend uninstalling. Uninstalling the Team Render Server and Client will not hurt anything since, again, you need to set those up yourself to begin with, so if you haven't you're all good. Will After Effects continue working properly if I uninstall them? ![]() Many of us in the Adobe community feel that this covert installation of multiple applications without any actual advanced warning or option to avoid certain installations is ethically ambiguous at best, and at worst what is known in court as Deceptive Business Practices. Nearly every single software company will allow you to opt-in or opt-out of additional software installs DURING the installation process. However, since a lot of people got AE a long time ago and the user agreement back then didn't say anything about this software (of course), then to slip in several applications by a third party company onto a computer that did not *specifically* agree to them is an incredibly deceptive business practice. If you just now noticed these programs but have been using AE for years, then you don't have anything to worry about. They automatically installed with After Effects starting about 2 or 3 years ago. If they did try to pull some kind of Symantec/Norton Antivirus bulls*** and covertly turn your computer into a bitcoin mining machine, that would be the end of a lot of people's Adobe subscriptions. If it did, that would be the straw that breaks the camel's back with Adobe. It does NOT use a cloud service to automatically add your computer to a render farm, thank goodness. They allow you to effectively use a render farm to speed up After Effects rendering, but only if you yourself set it up. ![]() What is (Maxon) Team Render Server and Team Render Client? So for anyone who would like the know what I managed to find after, yes, reading through the user manuals and license agreements, taking a deep dive into Maxon's videos - as well as transcripts of their videos - I've managed to find the answer to the questions people have actually been asking on this topic that Adobe's Support Community seems to not want to give a direct answer to: Typically when I'm at work and a customer asks me a question, I don't just hand them a pamphlet over and over again saying "It's all right here," what I do is ANSWER THE G** D*** QUESTION. Second, the answers provided on the " After Effects installed 7 Cinema 4D apps " thread where a "Support Professional" named Warren didn't actually answer anyone's questions but simply reposted the user manuals over and over again. So kudos to you Support "Professionals" for not actually supporting anyone on this topic in particular. We came here for answers *because* those resources don't tell you about the things you want to actually know about how the software itself functions behind-the-scenes. Every thread I found was just some "Adobe Community Professionals" telling people - over and over again - to read the license agreements and user manuals. I scoured the internet for hours trying to find sufficient answers to what the programs were and what they do.įirst of all, a big round of applause to the Adobe Support Community for not actually answering anyone's questions on this topic. I recently noticed that after installing After Effects on my newest workstation that several other applications were installed that I was surprised by and totally unfamiliar with: Maxon Cinema 4D stuff. New to posting here, but I've been using Adobe products (starting with Premiere Pro) since 2001, 21 years now.
